EVENT INFO
On Saturday, October 19, 2019, West Covina Kiwanis Foundation in partnership with the City of West Covina will host the 7th Annual West Covina Kiwanis Pumpkin 5K Run/Walk and 1K Fun Obstacle Course Run to benefit the West Covina Senior Center and West Covina Kiwanis programs for the children in the community.

Award Ceremony

Age group awards will be given to the top three in the following age groups for both male and female in the 5K.
Age groups: under 15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 and over

COURSE CLOSURE OVERVIEW
​The street closures will begin at approximately at 6:00 a.m. for the 7:30 a.m. start time. The streets will begin to reopen at 10:00 a.m. or when the last runner crosses the finish line, whichever is sooner. There will be a 1 hour and 15 min. time limit and it is estimated that the runners will clear the streets surrounding Cortez Community Center by 10:00 a.m., which also accounts for street cleanup. In coordination with the West Covina Police Department, we will have designated intermittent traffic control points so that residents may cross the route during the closures – they are noted on public access map below.

RESIDENT PARKING INFORMATION
No Parking Zones: Please adhere to all dates/times of the “No Parking- Tow Away” signs along the race course. There will be no parking along the course between 5:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. on Race Day. Overnight parking restrictions will be lifted by 10:00 am October 19, 2019. All other parking restrictions and prohibitions will apply.

ROAD CLOSURES

Full Closures:
Cortez St. will be closed to through traffic and parking from Hollenbeck Ave to Citrus Ave from 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

Partial Closures:
Cortez St. between Citrus Ave and Barranca Ave
Barranca Ave between Cortez St and Cameron Ave
Cameron Ave between Barranca Ave and Citrus Ave
E. Charlinda St between Cameron Ave and Citrus Ave
Citrus Ave between Cortez St and Vine Ave
Vine Ave between Citrus Ave and Hollenbeck Ave
Hollenbeck Ave between Vine Ave and Cortez St
