10 min/mile Pace Leader

How long have you been with the Pasadena Pacers? Since Spring of 2017.

How many marathons have you run? If no injuries and I don’t get sick, then LAM 2019 will be my sixth marathon.

Why do you run? To keep in shape/fit, and keep my cardio in check. Meet new runners, share experiences, and knowledge.

Favorite post run snack/meal? A nice bowl of pho and coconut juice!

Running mantra: One mile at a time, and finish strong.

Occupation: Systems Engineer

Hometown: Temple City, CA

What do you do for fun? Taking photos with my SLR camera, enjoy hiking, and spending time with my daughters.

Do you have a secret talent? None, sad to say lol.

Anything else you’d like your fellow Pacers to know? You can call me by my nickname VYPERz.

Sandy Liu
10 min/mile Pace Leader
(Editor Note: Sandy is also a former Pasadena Pacer President)

How long have you been with the Pasadena Pacers? I started November 2011 in response to my husband’s dare to run a half marathon.

How many marathons have you run? Three.

Why do you run? Running lets me be outdoors, to explore our beautiful mountain trails. Running resets my mind. Running with the Pacers puts a smile on my face.

Favorite post run snack/ meal? Breakfast burritos (no cheese!), avocado toast, and/or fruit.

Running mantra: Build your base, stay injury-free, keep going.

Occupation: Architect

Hometown: Harbor City, CA

What do you do for fun? I draw, paint, make music with my kids. I also garden while hanging out in my backyard with the chickens.

Do you have a secret talent? Does hand flute count?

Anything else you’d like your fellow Pacers to know? I have a black belt in Hapkido and trained a couple years in Muay Thai, so don’t mess with me. (Just kidding! About not messing with me. I’m actually really nice.)
