Death Valley Marathon, Half Marathon & 10K
The Death Valley race has returned to our race calendar on February 4, 2023. This race is one you’ll always remember. What’s that you say, DEATH Valley! Now just hold on a minute before you declare me to be an idiot. Take a look at this photo and tell me this isn’t gorgeous.
This is one of our most fun races!
Winter temperatures average high is 74° and low 46°, so it isn’t usually hot. Past temps have been in the mid 60’s. This entire race is below sea level!
The race sells out. Every year. Sign up early! We have 20 spots guaranteed until October 15. SPACE IS LIMITED
I’ll arrange a 15 person van. Transportation cost for 12 passengers is approximately $100 per person, including tax and fuel. Drive your own vehicle if you like. Travel time approximately 5 hours.
Make your accommodations early and enjoy the race discount, $193 per night.
This is a getaway weekend race with a two-night stay in Death Valley. The drive is about 5 hours, with spectacular scenery. I have a request for the Stargazing tour for Friday or Saturday night. Unfortunately there will be a full moon during our visit. There are many great sights to see in Death Valley. Badwater is a must see and there are several other additional breathtaking photo spots we can visit. https://www.planetware.com/california/death-valley-us-ca-dv.htm
There will be a wine and cheese reception with a campfire on Friday or Saturday night.
The awards ceremony in the saloon is not to be missed! The race is limited to only 300 participants, so your chances of winning in your age and gender bracket are very good. Most of us got 1st, 2nd, 3rd place ribbons. Overall winner gets a rubber chicken, or rubber chicken purse.
If you are a race warrior, come home Saturday afternoon and get up early the next day and run Surf City Half Marathon.
If you want to run this race, please contact Dr. Smith email@example.com or let me know at the Saturday Pacers
